Dear readers,

My new book is live! A release is always a reason to celebrate, but this time it’s doubly so because The Forbidden Dukewas created in collaboration with my author colleague and friend Emmi West, which means you can expect a double portion of love – and probably a quadruple dose of romance.

It was a lot of fun working on this book together. The title came to me immediately: The Forbidden Duke. Oh, that wonderfully dark, mysterious, grumpy man – I fell in love with him long before I even laid eyes on him. I think you feel no different about John Newbrook, the Duke of Wilborough.

Oh, and since Miss Emma Nightingale has a wild, passionate nature, the storyline is beautifully dramatic, which we love. “All or nothing” is Emma’s motto, and we love her for it.

Oh yes, Emma! I really wanted Emma to have red hair. A whirlwind like Emma had to be redheaded. We quickly agreed on the Forbidden Duke’s appearance too: dark, dark, dark blue eyes and sun-kissed blond hair. But I suspect that even if the duke had purple hair and a yellow-tinged complexion, I still would have fallen for him. 😉

What he does to win the lady of his heart while preserving his honour! Oh, I’m still yearning!

Romance? Not with the Forbidden Duke!

If you’re anything like me, you get pleasure from doing something forbidden every now and then.

Today you can follow this impulse without any regrets, even if not in the way you’re probably thinking. Today I bring you the cover of The Forbidden Duke, a collaboration with my author friend Emmi West.

What is the book about?

Miss Emma Nightingale is a wallflower of her own free will. She made a mess of her debut and is fed up with gentlemen who only want her fortune. With her fiery red hair, her temperament, and as a passionate (and not at all tame and ladylike) horsewoman, she’ll never find a man who loves her as she is.

Ah, sorry, dear readers, as I write these words, a ghostly echo wafts in from my past *giggles.* That’s exactly what I often heard my grandmother say. Well, Grandma? What do you think of my 25 years of marriage?

Where was I? Ah yes, Emma. Miss Emma Nightingale.

Can you believe that I haven’t even touched on the first quarter of the romance novel yet? It’s going to be much more dramatic, and much, much more romantic!
